From June 13 through June 20, 2019, Picasso Ceramics will be auctioned online at Christie’s. The auction includes “Hibou / Owl (A.R. 224)” by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). It has a marked ‘Madoura / Edition Picasso’ (underneath). The white earthenware ceramic sculpture, partially engraved, with colored engobe was conceived in 1953 and executed in an edition of 25.
