Christie’s’ upcoming auction on September 11, 2019, in New York will offer fine South Asian modern and contemporary artworks. As per the auction house’s official website, Christie’s’ sales of South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art are renowned for showcasing the finest pieces from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh from the last 100 years. As stated in the auction house press release, “Recognizing the significance of the region’s complex notions of identity and tradition, our specialists are dedicated to seeking out the finest works of art and showcasing them to a global audience.”
